What is CBT?
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or CBT is a short-term solution- focussed therapy that helps us to make significant shifts in our thinking and behaviour
in order to help us feel better about ourselves and our lives.
All of us experience upsetting emotions from time to time and they can be difficult to manage.
Changing our thinking can help us overcome self-defeating thoughts and behaviour.
CBT works by helping us to develop insight into our ways of thinking about ourselves, other people and how the world operates. As these beliefs become more conscious to us we can make new and healthier decisions about ourselves and our lives.
As a Psychotherapist I may use CBT tools to assist a client in gaining insight into their thinking and behaviour.
